(Effective Date: December 14, 2025)
WorldView Digest ("WVD," "we," "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users and partners to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our website or services.
This policy outlines the procedures for reporting alleged infringement and submitting counter-notices.
WVD is a news and culture portal dedicated to commentary, criticism, and news reporting. We often use images, short excerpts, and summaries from third-party sources under the doctrine of Fair Use (17 U.S.C. § 107).
We strive to always credit the original source and author. If you are a copyright owner and believe a specific usage falls outside the scope of Fair Use, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve the matter amicably before filing a formal DMCA notice.
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and believe that any material on WVD infringes upon your copyright, please submit a written notification to our Designated Copyright Agent.
Your notice must include the following information (as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
Identification of Work: A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
Identification of Material: A description of the material that you claim is infringing and needs to be removed (including the specific URL so we can locate it).
Contact Information: Your address, telephone number, and email address.
Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
Accuracy Statement: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Please send this notice to our Designated Agent at: [email protected].
Upon receipt of a valid and complete bona fide infringement notification:
WVD will remove or disable access to the infringing material.
We will make a good-faith attempt to contact the content provider (if applicable) to notify them of the removal.
Repeat Infringers: It is our policy to terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
If you believe that your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, or that you have the right to post it (e.g., under Fair Use), you may send a counter-notice to our Designated Agent.
The counter-notice must include:
Identification of the material that has been removed and the location (URL) where it appeared before removal.
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or the jurisdiction where WVD is located if you are outside the US).
All DMCA notices and counter-notices should be sent directly to: [email protected].
